remontada
[noun]
---
As a verb, ‘remontar’ in Spanish can mean many different things from ‘to climb’, ‘to soar’ or ‘to turnaround’. When used as a noun, 'remontada' means ‘the recovery’ or ‘the comeback’. Specifically, in a sporting sense, it means to claw back a deficit, whether it be points or goals.

Our Story

We met at the University of Edinburgh as 3 Mathematics PhD students and shared a growing passion for women's football. After becoming aware of the lack of specific focus on analysis of women's football data and the lack of representation for people like us in the football analytics world, we created remondata.
